The beauty of precious stones regularly inspires fashion. For his Givenchy summer 2017 collection, Riccardo Tisci worked around the agate in pendants and prints. More than enough to please the writer and collector Roger Caillois who marvelously described the beauty of this strange stone with its “whimsical markings”, “parallel veins”, “mineral festoons” and “frozen pyrotechnics”.
