“Breloque” and Cheapside Hoard
Marie-Hélène de Taillac is fascinated by the story of the Cheapside Hoard, this mysterious treasure discovered in 1912 in foundations of the jewelers’ quarter during works done in London. This hexagonal watch sculpted from a Colombian emerald was one of this much talked about stash of 450 or more pieces dating from the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. This watch has inspired Marie-Hélène de Taillac for her new cut-stone, a 3D diamond-shape, featured in her “Breloque” collection.
