The skyrocketing price of gold
In 2019, after several years of stagnation, the price of an ounce of gold soared by 20%. The price of gold bullion rose just as dramatically, from 36,000 euros in January to 43,770 euros at the end of December. And there seems to be no end in sight: in January 2020, the price of gold bullion rose by another 7%.
