Mauboussin joins the Galeries Lafayette group fold

The Galeries Lafayette group has become the majority shareholder of Mauboussin, the jeweler transformed into an affordable jewelry brand in the 2000s.

The Galeries Lafayette group (Louis Pion, Guérin Joaillerie and Royal Quartz Paris) has become the majority shareholder in Mauboussin alongside its current Chairman and CEO, Alain Némarq. In the 2000s, Némarq transformed the jeweler Mauboussin (whose outstanding pieces can be seen in the Maharajah of Indore exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs from 26 September 2019) into an affordable jewelry brand, particularly though advertising in the metro: a first for jewelry.
