Motché’s creoles are sublime! The brand’s founder and creator of Motché, Carole Fraresso is inspired by pre-Columbian civilizations. These earrings are therefore inspired by elements of the Viru culture (300 BC – 300 AD). While each one is decorated with a disc, only one is embellished with a Chavin element in the shape of a snake’s head – a sacred animal connecting men with the world below, i.e. the ancestors. Light and pure, this ear jewel moves to the rhythm of the wearer and creates a bewitching melody.
As a specialist of pre-Columbian art, Carole Fraresso incessantly explores the breathtaking beauty of the Andean ornaments in a bid to keep alive the know-how of the pre-Columbian period. She has also developed a unique jewelry journey in Peru: with her, you will discover the most exceptional collections of museums and chiefs’ tombs, as well as meet anthropologists, historians, etc. Find out more from the TFJP shop.
