“Jewelry, Signs of the Times” at La Reine Margot Gallery

The owner of this gallery and archaeology specialist Gilles Cohen sometimes asks contemporary creators to design mounts for his archaeological treasures: Roman intaglio, Mesopotamian seals, Phoenician glass paste beads … A post-modernist approach followed this time by Jean Grisoni (a regular visitor to the gallery, who also designed the exhibition setting), Yves Gratas, Ambroise Degenève, Bénédikt Aïchelé and Marie Seguy.

Until 7 February 2018.

  • Patrick de Pertat - Gold ring with a jasper intaglio

  • Ambroise Degenève - Necklace made of agate beads

  • Jean Grisoni - Silver signet ring with a soapstone beetle engraved with a Toutmosis III cartouche

  • Yves Gratas - Gold pendant with a lapis lazuli Mesopotamian seal of the second millennium BC
